hi, i’m maggie
i am an american twenty-something with a passion for traveling – experiencing new cultures, people, food, and landscapes has always been interesting and fun for me. in addition to visiting 24 countries (and counting) outside of the US, i have also had the opportunity to live in 3 of them (switzerland, england, and currently, new zealand). my preferred way of traveling consists of experiencing each city like a local as much as possible, while also checking off the must-do touristy activities in each city (because they’re popular for a reason, right?).
it’s always the wknd was born out of friends and family repeatedly asking for my travel recommendations, and i wanted one central place to store all of them outside of my phone’s notes app. the name was inspired by the fact that while we’re living in new zealand, I am on leave for my job in the US… making everyday the weekend for me. through it’s always the wknd, i hope to inspire you to travel to new places and provide you with the best recommendations along the way based on my own experience to ensure you have an incredible experience.
